Obituary of Victoria Sue Leffert

Victoria (Vicky) S. Leffert (Wilson) formerlay of Leawood, KS died peacefully in Aldie, VA on April 6th, 2018 at the age of 65 in her home after a yearlong battle with multiiple myeloma.

Vicky was a very loving wife and is survived by her husband Paul and children: Kyle M. Anderson (Kristin) Gypsum, CO and Eric S. Anderson (Betty) McLean, VA; step children: Shayne A. Leffert (Amy) Olathe, KS, Kevin R. Leffert (Lisa) Olympia, WA and Kelly M. Leffert, Chicago, IL; sisters: Betty Primeaux (Mike) Midland, TX and Patricia Wilson DVM (Royce) Santa Cruz, CA. She is preceded in death by a sister Mary Pirnie Lincoln, NE. Vicky has six grandchildren Anya, Olivia, Kirsten, Kelsey, Audrey and Tyler, three great grandchildren Kade, Kinley, Kolt and many nieces and nephews.

Vicky was born on June 29th, 1952 at Offutt AFB, NE to Edwin and Mary Wilson. She graduated from Lincoln NE High School in 1970 and was active in choir, synchronized swimming, cheerleading, yearbook, and Girl Scouts. She attended Ottawa University in Kansas and graduated in the top percent of her class earning an MBA with Honors. Vicky was an accomplished Project Manager and Vendor Manager. Vicky was retired from Embarq Corp. and also worked at Sprint Corp. She was a generous, dedicated individual who loved gardening, landscaping and baking. She was passionate about her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was an active and dedicated member of the Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, KS and often volunteered and donated to the various causes at the Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 3-5 p.m.at McGilley State Line Chapel. A funeral service will be 12:30 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS, with burial after at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, KS. A reception to follow at Church of the Resurrection. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vicky’s life.
