Kathy Jo (Perkinton) Carley of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away 9-10-2016 on her 64th birthday with her husband John at her side. She fought a valiant fight against lymphoma but in the end it took her life. Kathy was born and raised in Havelock to Henry and Alta Perkinton. Graduate of Lincoln Northeast class of 1970. Member of Havelock Christian Church.
Survived by her husband John A. Carley, III, sons and daughter-in-law Jim Nissen of Florida, Koan and Cassi Nissen, grandchildren Kallen, Leona, Clara and Soren Nissen all of Lincoln, sisters Patricia Bechtel (Marvin) and Mary Becker of Lincoln, brother Ed Bivens (Shirley), mother-in-law Nell Carley. Also surviving her is ex-husband Leo Nissen. Predeceased by parents, brother Bob Cunningham, father-in-law John A. Carley, Jr.
Memorials are suggested to Peace river Wildlife Center, 3400 Ponce De Leon Pkwy., Punta Gorda, FL 33950 or to charity of your choice. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on 10-4 at National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla.
