September 4, 1952 - August 2, 2021

Jeffrey Phillip Lyness was born September 4, 1952 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Phillip E. and Ruth Ann Lyness. He died on August 2, 2021 in Fort Collins, Colorado. A graduate of Northeast High School, Jeff served two years in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.

He attended the University of Nebraska and Colorado State University, majoring in Forestry, before working as a landscaper during his 40-year residency in Fort Collins. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bicycling, camping, and backpacking.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Lyness, sister, Susan J. Brasch (Howard), and brother, Peter (Susan), all of Lincoln; brother, Scott, of Los Angeles, CA, and sister, Melinda Campbell (Kenneth) of Arbon, Idaho; aunt, Phyllis Lyness Cook, of Denton, Texas, plus many cousins, nieces and nephews.
