We lost Steve to cancer too many years ago. I was privileged to attend his funeral. He was a dentist in Cairo, NE. As a small burg, it seems everyone there know the town dentist. Steve and I had a musical connection and a few others, sharing a unique sense of humor and taste. But he was truly a best friend. We connected in Junior High at Culler and at LNE of course and in the years after high school, less so as we each moved away from Lincoln. Steve and Chery raised a wonderful family before Steve was taken we too son. I miss him still.
